Hi! My name is Estie, a Social Media Manager, Content Creator, and Creative.

I enjoy sharing travel tips from my favorite adventures in Southern Africa. Additionally, I have a strong interest in assisting small businesses in achieving their social media objectives and enhancing their brand identity. I have an intense love for Africa, cherishing the experience of living within her and, discovering her wild and untouched beauty.

The Longer Story

Africa has always had a special charm for me and I feel privileged to have been raised within her.

A South African farmgirl at heart, I was raised on a farm in Limpopo. Living in a province bordering our neighbours, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique. We, as a family,  made use of the opportunities and started traveling and then further up as the years went on.

Initially, our camping expeditions included a much too-large tent that took ages to set up. Since then, we’ve invested in a practical tent and learned a few extra tricks along the way.

And of course, all of this was done in our Defender, named “Old Faithful”.

A few years on, I became a flight attendant, flying for four years across Southern Africa. At the end of 2021, I hung up my wings and started working in digital marketing. I work for an incredible company focused on social upliftment.

I now call Limpopo home, once again, and enjoy planning trips every chance I get. I am passionate about traveling and enjoy the opportunity to plan an adventure. During my free time, I embark on a solo journey across the world somewhere. More of this to follow in the blog posts, so keep a lookout for those.

I also enjoy utilizing my creativity by assisting small business owners enhance their brand presence.

I am now the proud owner of a Defender TD5, named “One Life” and realized that dreams do come true!

Having been to over 10 African countries, I hope this blog will inspire you and give you the confidence to embark on your adventures in Africa.

I’d love to hear from you. Whether you want to plan a trip through Southern Africa, enhance your business’s online presence, or to share your thoughts, feel free to contact me.
